research portfolio: interviews
I honed my in-depth interviewing skills in academia, and now leverage them in business to research questions key to developing lasting startups* and products.
I partnered with the team at Tinyhood, a parenting startup, to investigate how pregnant women and new moms gain parenting information and respond to expert-led online course content.
I interviewed 40+ women in successive studies, and synthesized insights into summary presentations to inform Tinyhood's product development.
Outvote, a political tech app, was eager to reconnect with "power users" to understand their use cases and optimize the app experience in line with their feedback.
I interviewed approx. 20 diverse power users and shared key themes with the Outvote team to enhance the product leading into the 2020 cycle.
I wrote my senior thesis in Sociology on the gendered experience of NCAA Division I women's basketball players and coaches based on 30 in-depth interviews. The thesis received unanimous summa cum laude grades from the Harvard Sociology Department, and I graduated with Highest Honors in Sociology.
